Hail Damage

Hail damage can cause a lack of air flow which interfere’s with the unit’s ability to cool down the compressor. This can cause the compressor to burn out and need replacing. The damaged fins can be straightened out by combing them, restoring the unit’s air flow.

It’s best to have hail guards installed so this kind of damage doesn’t occur.

Occasionally, the damage is too extensive and cannot be repaired.
